Why now? Why us?
It’s increasingly important to recognize our local change-making in the broader context – from the region, to the nation, and ultimately, the globe. Power Shift 2013 will be pivotal in training and mobilizing those interested in the transition from fossil fuels to renewable energy – a transition that is urgently important in California as fracking becomes a reality on our land. Power Shift focuses on constructive solutions that are environmentally and economically just, empowering students to take control in their local communities.
We are planning on getting 300 students from California to Power Shift! If you are interested in becoming a local recruiter or in attending, please contact
Emily (Southern California), [email protected]
or
Roberta (Northern California), [email protected]
*The CSSC will work with you to make travel and registration affordable. The sooner you let us know you are interested in attending, the easier it is to allocate funding and help you find scholarships. Get in touch!
Newsflash:
The Regional Power Shift Convergences held on September 7th were a great success. Our regional recruiting and organizing teams are working hard to ensure that California represents in Pittsburgh next month! Check out these photos from the Regional Convergence at UC Berkeley:
