Apply to Join the CSSC COP 21 Delegation!
CSSC will be sending a delegation of California students to the 21st Conference of the Parties in Paris in December 2015. By sending students from the CSSC network, it will allow for a) the California story to reach the international negotiating table, b) a deeper understanding of climate negotiations to permeate CSSC’s networks, and c) to develop a comprehensive domestic action plan in conjunction with our national partners that will lead up to Paris and thrive beyond.
Objectives of the Delegation
- To provide students with the opportunity to experience first hand what it means to represent a respected and accredited organization making significant change.
- To uplift the student voice and student activism in larger spheres to serve as a model of how to transform institutions from the grassroots.
- To expose students to the negotiations processes first hand, instilling in them an understanding of the role of grassroots activism in national and international legislation, politics, and action.
- To build the reputation of CSSC on a national/international level so that we are seen as a major influential U.S. student network focused on climate issues.
