My name is Saba Malik, and I am on the board of a non-profit
organization called Fertile Ground. We specialize in environmental and
political education.
One of our board members, Dillon Thomson will be starting on a national
speaking tour this fall. He will be visiting communities beginning in
October and bringing with him lessons in political analysis, what it
means to build a culture of resistance and the history of social
struggle. Dillon will discuss Fertile Ground’s cutting-edge strategies,
which combine astute political analysis with cultural theory,
environmental science and knowledge of historical social movements. His
presentation lays the path for a new environmentalism. He has conducted
extensive research into climate change, species extinction, oceanic
collapse and other environmental crises, and has shared his perspective
in numerous outlets including classroom presentations, radio and
television interviews, letters to the editor and community events.
I am wondering if you would be interested in having him speak and conduct a workshop at your event either on the 4th or the 6th of Nov. He will be speaking at Chico State on the 3rd and in Sacramento on the 5th Nov.
If you are interested at all let me know and we can discuss more details.
Thanks,
Saba Malik Liasion officer for Fertile Ground
