I help promote CSSC events and campaigns among other Northern California CSUs, UCs, and Community Colleges. I also provide them with resources on how to start their own programs on their home campuses.

About Me
I am a junior at Chico State University majoring in Environmental Science with a focus in Applied Ecology. I work in the Sustainability office on campus as the Involvement Coordinator to our internship program and am the CSSC’s Northern California Regional Coordinator. I am very passionate about all aspects of sustainability and work hard everyday to live my life within my own means. I can also attest to how contagious passion is and I strongly encourage anyone who has the slightest interest in sustainability to get involved and watch the way you view the world evolve before your eyes. Outside the office I love to spend my time in the Redwood Forest and I escape to the North whenever the occasion arises to camp, hike, and explore. I also play Ultimate Frisbee for Chico State and squeeze in yoga as often as I have the chance.
How I Got Involved In CSSC
I got involved with the CSSC because I have a passion for sustainability and I recognize that students have a tremendous power when we work together. Working with the CSSC is a great outlet that provides resources, support, recognition, and an amazing community of powerfully driven young activists statewide. My first involvement with the CSSC was through my attendance of the Summer Leadership Retreat in August 2010.

The Role of Student Action in Sustainability
Students are on the forefront of the sustainability movement! We have a tremendous collective power to make a difference because we are a huge population of any community. We are the future leaders of our cities, states, and country, and our passion and drive is what will push this movement to unforeseen heights!
