About Me
Sam Gross is a student at Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo. He is an Environmental Management and Protection major, the President of the Empower Poly Coalition and a CSSC council member. He has been involved with sustainability at Cal Poly since 2006. At Cal Poly Sam has put a lot of time into improving the quality of life at Cal Poly by campaigning for Environmental justice, human rights and healthy living. Sam oversees all the campaigns and events at Cal Poly that have anything to do with the environmental movement. On the state level, hosting the 2009 CSSC Spring Convergence at Cal Poly provided Sam with his first involvement with the CSSC. At the CSSC he works with other representatives from around the state to collaborate ideas, projects, events and programs on campuses throughout the state of California. As a council representative from Cal Poly he is the liaison between his university and the CSSC. He works hard to attend and bring as many students from his region to all the CSSC Leadership Retreats, Seasonal Convergences and campaign summits. As a member of the council He has a vote on all CSSC decisions and has a part in the preparation of these statewide events.
