The Students Against Fracking Training will be held from July 24th-27th in Ventura, CA
California is in the most severe drought in recorded history, and yet our state officials are still allowing fracking and other forms of extreme energy extraction to continue. Students have the power to collectively resist the fracking and extraction industry, but only if we are trained to effectively take action. Whether you’ve been engaged with Students Against Fracking in the past, or are just starting to get involved, this summer training will cover all the grounds to build impactful and effective student leaders.
The training will be held in Ventura, CA, a key location in the fight against extraction. In partnership with organizers from Food and Water Watch, Center for Biological Diversity and California Student Sustainability Coalition attendees will learn the skills needed to build the California anti-fracking movement on their campus and in their communities. The five-day training will include workshops on organizing, skill sharing, Collective Liberation training, featured speakers from impacted communities, and a toxic tour.
This training is intended to be intimate, space is limited. Applications open April 1st and close May 1st. Apply here!
